WEAVING with Ingrid Parker - 4th Wednesday each month
Ingrid is a very talented, experienced Austrian weaver with endless
patience.
She taught for several years and hopes to encourage and inspire
any would-be (or established) weavers with a new enthusiasm for
this ancient and extremely satisfying art. Materials, frames and
looms are provided. All sorts of techniques are covered.

SPINNING with Shan Palmes - 1st Wednesday
each month
Shan has been teaching and lecturing for over 20 years and loves
everything to do with the world of wool. The therapeutic value of
spinning is enormous as well as being practical, creative and artistic.
Four times a year, she leads natural dye-ing days. Two full days
of spinning tuition are usually sufficient to learn the basic skills
and the workshops available at Bonehill help to consoldate all the
information, and are flourishing with an enthusiastic group of regular
spinners.

STENCILLING
with Shona Barr - 2nd Tuesday evening, all day Wedesday monthly
Shona is a talented and enthusiastic stenciller and has been teaching
here for several years. She will design and cut personalised stencils
if required and sells a range of cards, furniture, ceramics etc. |

LANDSCAPE PAINTING with Phoebe des Clayes
- 3rd Wednesday each month
Phoebe knows Dartmoor extremely well having lived and painted here
for many years and has a knack of finding beautiful and special
places to paint.
Phoebe will teach in watercolours, pastels, acrylic, gouache and
oils. She advises, encourages and rescues and demonstrates on a
particular subject, e.g. rocks, sky, water, gorse etc. Sketching
in pencil, charcoal and ink are covered if required.
We try and paint outside most of the year (sometimes in the shelter
of cars) but there are good studio facilities available and still
life subjects can be set up.

BASKET MAKING with Sarah Pank - 4th
Tuesday each month
Sarah is a professional basket maker, living on Dartmoor. She makes
traditional and hedgerow baskets and widely exhibits her work. She
covers the subjects of growing and harvesting willow as well as
preparation and selection of materials.
The one day workshops are designed in blocks of three days (one
a month) to give students an introduction to the basic techniquesof
basket making. You will be able to make a round basket of your own
design

SCULPTURE with Anne-Marie Moss - 3,
or more, weekends a year
An exciting new course, sculpting from life using New Clay and progressing
to other materials.
Complete beginners welcomed (and those more experienced of course).
Anne-Marie has been teaching for several years and exhibites her
beautiful sculpures in galleries around the country.

CREATIVE WRITING with Georgina
Mackie - 3rd Thursday each month
Georgina is a published author who has been writing novels, on and
off, for almost 30 years and has a great sense of humour. She believes
creative writing is following a few basic rules and hopes to help
people find their own style as they work. We also have the occasional
poetry evenings.

LIVING WILLOW with Jude Cranmer - 2nd
Tuesday each month
Jude is an experienced teacher for schools and groups and has a
comprehensive knowledge about willow and maintenance of woodland.
She has been teaching at Bonehill for 4 years and we have arbours,
hedges, benches, wigwams, sculpures (and more), flourishing here,
waiting to inspire you to make your own.

PRAYER
PAINTING with Pat Elms - 1st Tuesday each month
Starting with Scripture, prayer and a short meditation, all sorts
of amazing creative ideas begin to flow. A variety of materials
are used. It may be glass painting, or banner painting or stencils,
etc.
Come and see for yourselves how enjoyable and inspiring these sessions
can be.

JAPANESE BRAIDING with Edna Gibson
- 4th Thursday each month
Edna has a love of all things Japanese and has brought back some mavellous
skills and inspiration from her many visits.
Beautiful glowing silks and satin smooth wood that the small looms
are made from, are a delight. If there is a demand she can teach tassle
making, knitting finishes, etc. |
